Tools Menu

Lists commands for showing various NoteAbilityPro panels and tools.

Music Images Panel⇧⌘K To show or hide the Music Images panel.
Score Structure Panel⇧⌘I To show or hide the Score Structure panel.
Keyboard...⌘K To show or hide the On-screen Keyboard panel.
Overview...⇧⌘O To show or hide the Overview panel which displays a miniature version of the page and can be used to adjust the visible area of the score.
Transport Controls To show or hide the Transport Controls which contains playback and tempo controls.
Score Following▶ Displays menus related to automated score-following for Computer Music performance.
Toggle Insert <-> Select⌥⌘X To toggle between Insert and Select modes. (Short-cut is Command-Option-x)
Toggle Entry Cursor⌥⌘Z To turn the Entry Cursor on or off
Toggle Auto Increment⌥⌘W To turn the Entry Cursor Auto Increment on or off. Auto Increment causes the Entry Cursor to move forward to the next beat position after a note or rest is entered.
Copy Types To set the pasteboard types to be used by the Copy All Types command.
Panic... To show or hide the Panic panel in which system format and image positions to be reset
Lute Panel... To show or hide the Lute Entry panel which is used for entering lute tablature.
Guitar Panel... To show or hide the Guitar Entry panel which is used for entering guitar tablature.
Dulcimer Panel... To show or hide the Dulcimer Entry panel which is used for entering dulcimer tablature.
Guido Panel... To show or hide the Guido panel which sets import and export options for generating and reading Guido files.
Max Setting... To show or hide the Max Settings panel which is used to set export options for Max/MSP.
Part Extraction...⇧⌘X To show the Part Extraction panel whch is used to extract instrumental parts from the score.
Staff Spacing... To show or hide the Staff Spacing panel.
Speech Panel... To show or hide the Speech Control panel used for setting Speech Recognition attributes.
Image Info Panel... To show or hide the Image Info panel used to display the attributes of selected images.
NoteWriter Controls... To show or hide the NoteWriter Controls used to modify images in imported NoteWriter files.
Custom Key Signatures... To show or hide the Custom Key Signature panel used to create custom key signatures in the score.
Custom Staves... To show or hide the Custom Staves panel used to create staves with different line attributes in the score.
Custom Noteheads... To show or hide the Custom Noteheads panel used to design custom noteheads.
Nested Tuplet Editor... To show or hide the Nested Tuplet panel used to alter selected notes into nested tuplet groups.
Irrational Time Signatures... To show or hide the Irrational Time Signatures panel used to create non-standard time signatures such as 4/10.
Spatial Score Mapping...
Text Library... To show or hide the Text Library panel containing text fragments with font settings
Image Library... To show or hide the Image Library panel containing PDF and/or TIFF images
Meter Map... To show or hide the Meter Map panel which is used to set create a series of meter changes
Playback Map.. To show or hide the Playback Map panel which is used to set repetitions for playback
Tempo Map... To show or hide the Tempo Map panel which is used to set tempo changes for playback.
Network Port Panel... To show or hide the Network Port panel which is used to set network port and score-following attributes for interactive performances.

- shortcuts for many of these panels are available by clicking buttons on the Panel Buttons tab view in the Score Structure panel.

- these menu items can be used both to make a panel visible or to hide the panel if it is already visible.
